History of Contra Costa County

F.J. Hulaniski, editor

History of Contra Costa County

This CD contains the entire 635-page 1917 edition of the History of Contra Costa County, California, as published by Elms Publishing, Berkeley, California. This valuable (but difficult to find) reference book is read by using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. The History of Contra Costa County is duplicated exactly in a searchable PDF format that uses the excellent search module provided in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Both Windows and Apple computers read the Portable Document Format (PDF). The text can be printed or pasted into any document.

In addition, through the dedication of Bernard Freedman, the Contra Costa County History Center has also provided a new index to Hulaniski’s history as well as the original Hulaniski indices. Included in this book are numerous biographies of most of the prominent pioneers that built our modern Contra Costa County. This "easy to use" CD allows any genealogist, historian or library to have access to an important research tool at a price well below the current $300+ cost of the original book.

A Windows-compatible copy of the Adobe Reader 6.0 is included with the CD. If you are using any other operating system, a free copy of the PDF reader can be downloaded by clicking here.
