Mount Diablo is one of the natural treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a preserve for many of the animals, trees and flowers native to the region. And it has outstanding hiking, biking, and riding trails, as well as one of the most spectacular panoramic views in the world.

This guidebook gives visitors the information they need to get the most from the park. It has chapters on the mountain's history and geology. There is also complete and authoritative information about park campgrounds, highlights and activities.

For 25 years, The Mount Diablo Interpretive Association has been working to heighten appreciation of Mount Diablo in all its aspects. This book promises to help you discover for yourself the park's wildflowers, distinctive rock formations, extensive trail system, and varied wildlife.
